Wills Lane Gallery shows Sarah Drew’s striking often large and colourful necklaces made from found objects such as driftwood, sea plastic, sea glass, slate pebbles and often recycled parts of broken antique jewellery. She says she is inspired by colour and collage and the artists Margaret Mellis, Terry Frost and Peter Lanyon. Two of the books she has written on her subject are called Wild Jewellery and Junk Box Jewellery. She teaches around the country including at West Dean.
