"My intention is to seek the sacred in the ordinary. I make contemplative objects which have a utilitarian dimension. My aesthetic inspiration is drawn from the patterns, colours, light and textures in the urban and natural African landscape."
Clementina van der Walt

Also note: a beautifully produced book on Clementina’s work was published in 2017 Clementina van der Walt a ceramic journey, published by Kraaldoring Publishers.

Stephen Chambers The Court of Redonda 101 oils on panel installation shot, Ca’Dandolo, Grand Canal,Venice Biennale 2017. Now exhibited at Downing College, Cambridge

The novelist Javier Marias has written about the collisions between fact and fiction involved in the legend that has developed around Redonda a tiny uninhabited island in the Caribbean Sea.

The Heong Gallery opened a year ago with Generation Painting 1955-65 British Art from the Collection of Sir Alan Bowness. Generation Painting 1955-65 British Art from the Collection of Sir Alan Bowness. See more about the Stephen Chambers exhibition here
